Starting from 1 July 2025, there are two new question at Duolingo test (to be more precise, one new task and one modified task). The totally new DET Interactive Speaking has replaced the good old Listen then Speak, while DET Interactive Listening has got a new audio introduction instead of a written one. Of course, now that I have a sufficient amount of real DET questions to base my lessons upon, i am recording new additional video lessons for my DET With Flying Colors video-course.
Each lesson will last about 50 minutes (as usual) and help you understand the essence of new questions, as wel as give you the opportuninty to practice with me answering those new types of questions. I think, these new tasks present no big a problem to candidates. However, DET Interactive Listening audio intro can puzzle you if you are not used to retaining several facts in your mind very quickly and putting them into text within several seconds. You need additional practice to ace this question.
New Duolingo Interactive Speaking is built on the same principle as its predecessor Listen then Speak – anyhow, you need to speak on a given question, but not for 90 seconds, just 35 seconds 6-8 sets. Of course, the more you practice with an experiences DET tutor, the more armed you will be to succeed at this question.
