I have always used the method of multiple loud repetition in a “Latin” manner (when I spell EACH letter in a convenient manner). For example, I spell the word “example” as “e-gzam-ple” (with the sound “e” at the end). It has always helped me to write correctly, no matter how intricate a word is.
